More Stylin' Uses for The Leaf

Jen and Trista are not the only ones who can wear a leaf mustache and look cool. Suzi and I sported the look last night and I must say we felt extremely chic. Suzi also wore a leaf beard which totally accentuated her super-phat face. We both turned a few heads if I do say so myself. What really surprised us is when Ander came up with the idea for the leaf crotch-hider. Who knew he had it in him?
Anyway, I think we're going to see many more new leaf trends for fall and I for one am really excited about it.

Happy B-Day Scooter!

Happy 38th Birthday, Scooter! Scott's birthday was yesterday (the 15th) but we celebrated it with my family on Sunday at my parents' house and had a lot of fun. Leslie made stroganoff for dinner and I bought a yummy chocolate cake from Costco with ice cream for dessert. The pic of Scott, Dawson and me is the first one I've been able to get of all three of us since April. Scott hates to get his picture taken so I have to take advantage when the opportunity presents itself. Thanks Suz, for giving me some photographic proof of my little family.

Cutie Kid

Look at that cute little mug!

This is Dawson's favorite pose when I turn on the camera.

There's nothing like the taste of cotton...

Daddy's making Dawson laugh...

Showing off his many acrobatic talents - Look at those dirty feet!

Bad Day at the Gym

I've been going to Lifetime Fitness for the past couple of months and I love it but Dawson's had a rough time getting used to the daycare there. The first week the people in the daycare paged me almost every day after 10 or 15 minutes because he was crying so hard. I couldn't get him to calm down so I would have to take him home after a very short workout, which was frustrating. He's finally getting used to being there (and even starting to like it) but he still has a hard time every now and then. The other day I'd been working out for almost an hour when I was paged. On my way to pick him up I got a phone call from Suzi telling me that Dawson was screaming his head off and was really poopy smelling. She had just picked up Ander at the daycare and noticed Dawson crying. She tried to comfort him but he only wanted his mommy at that point. When I came to get him he was extremely stinky and had tears streaming down his face. To make matters worse, on our way to the car he spit up all over his shirt which made him smell even stinkier. I had to put an extra shirt of mine on him because I didn't pack one for him in his diaper bag. The shirt was huge on him and he did not want to wear it at all. The pics I took are from when we just got home - my shirt is about to drown him and he is not happy with me at all for keeping it on him.

Zzzzzzzz

Dawson just started taking one long nap a day so he's now going to bed between 9:15 and 9:30 instead of between 10:00 and 10:30, which has been really nice. A couple of nights he's been so tired after he's finished his bottle that he's fallen asleep right then and there, as illustrated in this pic of him where he's somehow still holding his bottle even though he's fast asleep. Sweet dreams!

Sick Little Guy

Poor little Dawson has a cold right now and has been pretty miserable. I never knew so much snot could come out of such a tiny little nose until now. Yuck!!!

Thank goodness Zeus was there to cheer him up. They're such cute little friends together.

Here he is watching Zeus through the window to see what he's doing outside. He's always looking for Zeus if he's not by his side.

Even with snot all over his face, he can still find a reason to smile...
