I took Dawson to the doctor yesterday because his nose and eyes were super goopy and found out that he has pinkeye. The only thing we can give him for it is prescription eye drops, but can you see a 21-month old lying still while I put eye drops in his eyes twice a day for 5 days? It ain't gonna happen. Especially with this kid. He won't even let me wipe his nose without fighting and screaming like a banshee. The doc told me that it might clear up within a day or two so I should hold off on getting the eye drops unless his eyes get worse. Poor little kid - he looks absolutely miserable. There's nothing worse than having a sick kid.

Poor little guy! Pink eye is the most miserable thing ever! A few years ago I got in both eyes and my kids had it too. It felt like I'd been punched in each eye a few times. Hopefully the eye drops clear it up fast because pink eye is just not fun!
It is good to see you back in the blogging world! I am sorry to hear that Dawson is sick. That is never fun. One thing that worked with my boys with eye drops is I would have them close their eyes, put a drop in the inside corner, and then have them open their eyes. The drop goes in, and it isn't as traumatic. No one likes to see that dropper coming toward them! I hope Dawson gets feeling better soon!

Yuck! Sick kids are never any fun...especially when pink eye is involved. Try keeping him from wipping his eyes, too. Now there's a trick I never learned. When my youngest had pink eye, the more I begged her to leave her eyes alone, the more it seemed like she touched them. Talk about a living, breathing contamination! Good luck and I hope he gets better FAST!!! Poor little guy!
Yes, we've just had both kids go through strep....not fun!!! Looks like he's doing better...
