First Easter Egg Hunt

Our neighborhood hosted an Easter egg hunt yesterday in one of our neighbors' backyards, the Herways. Each child got to take home 12 candy-filled eggs but Dawson could have cared less about finding any while we were there, so I was the one who found the eggs for him. He was a lot more interested in playing on the slide and trampoline and checking out all of the other kids there. I thought it would be held indoors because the weather was so cold and windy, which is why Dawson isn't wearing a jacket but all the other kids are. When his nose started running nonstop I knew it was time to go home but he was having such a great time playing that he didn't come willingly. I had to drag him home kicking and screaming the whole way. The kid would live outside if I would let him.
I can't wait to see what he does at next year's Easter egg hunt. Hopefully by then he'll be more interested in trying to actually find some Easter eggs. Oh well - he still had a great time.

Who cares about plastic eggs when you have a slide and trampoline? :)
At least he had fun and got to play outside. i am sure he will be more into the eggs next year.

He is so darn cute. I can tell that he's quite the handful. I love it! That's the way boys should be! Funny.

Every year gets more fun, it's true...don't worry, it won't be long before he can't wait to find eggs...and eat all the candy! So how long until you get a slide and tramp in your yard? :) He can come over on ours anytime!!

He's a smart boy! Just wait, within the next year or two, he'll be all about the candy (like my girls). For now, be happy he would rather jump and slide instead of gorge himself into a self induced chocolate coma (my favorite).
